MMC Offers Free Online Health Management Tool

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic has developed MMC & Me, a personal health care management system for its patients. The free tool is available online through a secure portal, giving patients private access to their health records and other useful tools using any device with internet capabilities, such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet.

MMC & Me was designed to give patients access to their health information anywhere, anytime. Patient records are posted to a highly secure data repository using the same security measures as online banking. With this technology, patients are free to review and update their health history and personal medical records at any time. These records include information such as office visits, physician notes, conditions, and medications. Patients may also view their test and lab results online.

The portal allows patients to connect with their doctor’s office as well. For example, MMC & Me allows patients to request convenient appointment times and prescription refills, send and receive messages from the doctor’s office, and set up reminders for preventative and follow-up care.

At each visit to a physician’s office, patients must fill out the appropriate paperwork before getting in for their appointment. MMC & Me has streamlined this process by providing the forms online, so that they may be filled out and submitted ahead of time, and thus expediting the check-in procedure. Another popular timesaving feature is the ability to download, fax, or email select health information, such as immunizations history and exam forms.

Currently, MMC & Me is serving 10,000 patients. Access to the secure portal is available to all patients of Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and its related locations, such as the Spine, Joint and Pain Center and MMC Now Family Walk-In Clinics.
