MMC's Third Annual Girls Night Out, A Great Success!

Murfreesboro – Murfreesboro Medical Clinic held its third annual Girls Night Out on Thursday, October 17. More than 1300 women registered this year, which is three to four times the number of attendees at the first event three years ago. This year’s theme was “Girls Night Out. Your Destination for Health, Beauty, and Wellness!” Each booth, or “destination,” featured a theme from a different country, with doctors and staff dressed according to each particular region of the world. Additionally, local dining favorite, Five Senses, provided food to correspond with each location, including French, Indian, Italian, and Mexican cuisines. The grand prize went to a Spring Hill woman who won a round trip ticket to a destination point of her choice

Kimberly Smith, Director of Marketing for MMC, said, “This is like throwing a party for our patients and the women of Rutherford County. We want them to feel comfortable talking to doctors, nurses, and staff of our multi-specialty groups. This is an opportunity to ask medical questions or express concerns without having to schedule an appointment.” Smith began Girls Night Out in 2011 in an effort to reach out to the women in the community. “It is truly exciting to be able to reach this many women. I still can’t get over the explosive growth in just three years. Apparently they’re loving it!”

Young boys and girls from the United States Air Force Civil Air Patrol and Color Guard presented the flag in honor of our service men and women. The young cadets then escorted each of the models for the fashion show featuring clothing and accessories from local boutiques: Trendy Pieces, Bella’s Boutique, E. Allen, and Penny’s Closet. Hair and makeup was provided by Bombshells Hair Studio and Spa.

Each guest left with a goodie bag of giveaways from each destination point. Girls Night Out is a free event for the community. If you would like to learn more about the event or any of the services available at the multi-specialty facility, please visit mmclinic.com or call 651-893-4480.
