Special Kids Friendraiser raises more than $65K

The 12th Annual Special Kids Friendraiser Banquet raised over $65,000 to help children served by the local nonprofit at last Thursday night's dinner at Calvary Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.

The Friendraiser Banquet hosted over 350 guests who came out to support Special Kids and hear best-selling author Karen Kingsbury give the keynote address. Kingsbury spoke about how Jesus Christ is the hero of our own stories, and while the characters in our storiesmay be hard to love at times, we are called to love more deeply than we thought possible.
