MMC Comprehensive Breast Center Brings Community Together

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic • Oct 18, 2017

Last Thursday, October 12th, Murfreesboro Medical Clinic’s (MMC) Comprehensive Breast Center hosted an evening of education and entertainment centered around Breast Cancer Awareness. Physicians and medical staff alike welcomed guests into a comfortable environment where experts could directly engage with the community they serve.

Guests were greeted by a string quartet, friendly faces of physicians and staff, and cookies, of course! They were then ushered into tours of 2D and 3D Mammography machines, as well as breast biopsy devices.

The expert panel included at least one representative from each sector of the Comprehensive Breast Center: Sadish Siva, M.D. from Radiology, Paul Pasarilla, M.D., Lisa White, M.D., and David Beaird, M.D. from General Surgery, and Brad Medling, M.D. from Plastic Surgery/Reconstruction. The physicians spoke on all aspects of Breast Cancer from detection to restoration, with topics ranging in the difference in a 2D and 3D mammography, treatment plans, family-genetic testing, and reconstruction.

Rachel Holder, a partner of Channel 4 News, emceed the second half of the evening, gracefully transitioning from the meet and greet to conversation between patient testimonials and important information from the expert panel of Breast Care physicians.
The festivities that took place at MMC’s campus were all in efforts to bring a community together with the proper knowledge needed to move closer toward breast health. It is MMC Comprehensive Breast Center’s promise to walk hand in hand with every patient through each individual’s health journey.

Your breast health is our mission.
