4th Annual Girls Night Out

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic will hold its fourth annual Girls Night Out on Thursday, September 18 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. In addition to informal one-on-one time with doctors and staff for health, beauty, and wellness tips, it is an evening of music, food, and fashion. All attendees to this FREE event receive a goodie bag and are eligible for many door prizes, as well as one grand prize.

This year marks the 65th anniversary of MMC, so the theme is: “Decades of Medicine.” The music, food, and booths will be themed according to different decades.

Local beauty, wellness, and other vendors are providing gift cards and certificates for prizes and giveaways. Hors d'oeuvres and desserts will be catered by Five Senses. Local boutiques will also be present and many prizes will be given away at this women’s event. Sorry fellas….ladies only!

Girls Night Out is an opportunity for women in the community to come together and talk directly to doctors, nurses, and other staff of the multi-specialty groups of MMC. The casual atmosphere allows women to ask basic health and wellness questions specific to women, without an actual appointment. “These events are the perfect informal atmosphere for questions. It’s like a free visit to the doctor in the most relaxed environment you could ask for,” said annual attendee, Karen from Rockvale. “It’s not every day that your doctor throws you a party for coming to visit, complete with food and prizes!”

While most specialties within MMC will be represented at Girls Night Out, popular stops at this event include the Comprehensive Breast Center, Plastic Surgery, MMC Weight Loss & Wellness, U Medi Spa, Dermatology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Kimberly Smith, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for MMC, is the creator and manager of Girls Night Out each year. “Given the astronomical growth of this event, there is obviously a need in our area for women-specific needs to be met. I’m overwhelmed by the response of both the community of women and the businesses that continue to support Girls Night Out. We’re always looking for opportunities to open our doors to the community and get them engaged. The ladies get to dance, see upcoming fashion trends, have their cake and eat it too. It’s truly just plain fun!”

The first Girls Night Out at MMC garnered nearly 500 attendees. By 2013, it grew to include more than 2500 registered guests. While the entire facility will be open for the event, space is still limited. You must be 21 years of age or older to attend this event. It is important to sign up now at mmclinic.com to reserve your spot. The free event will be held at MMC’s newest Garrison Drive facility (1272 Garrison Drive) in the Murfreesboro Gateway.
