ABOUT DR. FOWLER

Dr. Sam Fowler grew up in East Tennessee and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He then attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, where he completed both medical school and his ophthalmology residency. During his residency, he participated in local and international charitable initiatives, providing cataract surgery to patients in underserved communities.

Outside of medicine, Sam enjoys spending time with his wife and young son, playing golf, and traveling. They’re excited to be living in Middle Tennessee with family nearby.

He is passionate about the unique ability of ophthalmology to restore sight and improve patients’ quality of life. Helping patients see better and return to the activities they enjoy is what motivates him and brings him great fulfillment as a physician.
