Murfreesboro, Tennessee: Murfreesboro Medical Clinic, PA is proud to announce the addition of John Kolisnyk, D.O. Dr. Kolisnyk is Board Certified and specializes in Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. Kolisnyk received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree in 1999 from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania. Dr. Kolisnyk completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in Fort Sam Houston, TX. In 2006, he finished his allergy and immunology fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. 

Dan Brown, M.D., MMC’s President, stated, “We are excited to have Dr. Kolisnyk join Murfreesboro Medical Clinic. His training, skill and personality will allow him to be a great addition to our staff.”

Before coming to the Clinic, Dr. Kolisnyk was Chief of Allergy and Immunology and Chief of Internal Medicine at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, KY. He will be getting off active duty from the Army as Lieutenant Colonel and will become an Army Reserve.   

Joseph A. Peay, Chief Executive Officer, added, “Attracting quality physicians, such as Dr. Kolisnyk, remains our goal so that we can continue to meet the medical needs of Murfreesboro, Rutherford County and surrounding areas. We are looking forward to having his involvement in our Clinic and our community.”

His hobbies include target shooting, archery, drawing and skiing. Dr. Kolisnyk plans to reside in Murfreesboro, Tennessee with his wife, Norma Merced, M.D., and their two children.
