MMC Ophthalmology Department is Proud to Offer Bladeless LASIK Procedures

MMC Now Offering LASIK Procedures

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic’s Ophthalmology department is proud to begin offering Bladeless CustomVue LASIK procedures in Murfreesboro this March. This revolutionary technology uses two lasers to correct nearsightedness without the use of blades. The procedure lasts about 10 minutes and minimal discomfort may be experienced for one to two days following the procedure.

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and its physicians are always looking for new ways to better serve their patients and the community. As the only medical provider offering LASIK procedures in Rutherford County, MMC will be able to improve the quality of life for patients experiencing the daily inconvenience of contacts and glasses. In addition to Lasik, MMC will also offer PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy) procedures for patients that might not be a candidate for Lasik.

Ryan Drumright, M.D., has led the charge to bring the LASIK procedures to MMC. Dr. Drumright joined MMC’s Ophthalmology department in September of 2017 and has been a great addition to the MMC family. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Heath Science Center in 2012 and completed his fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at the University of Florida Health Shands Medical Center in 2017. Dr. Drumright is excited to extend his realm of care at MMC to include LASIK procedures.

Patients considering LASIK should be at least 21 years of age and experience nearsightedness with or without astigmatism. To schedule a free evaluation or for more information, please call the MMC Ophthalmology department at 615-867-8050, or visit mmclinic.com.
