ABOUT DR. FRYE

With an underlying passion for health and nutrition, Dr. Frye achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Human Biology, Health, and Society at Cornell University. Following that she attended Columbia University where she completed a Master of Science in Nutrition while interning at the United Nations and spending time abroad researching in Rwanda. Seeking to become a clinician, she completed her medical degree at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. She specifically sought out studying to become a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in order to obtain additional training in wellness and prevention. Then she was innately drawn to the field of surgery during her surgical rotations in medical school due to her love of anatomy and the interconnectedness of the human body’s systems. She matched categorically into General Surgery Residency at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, where she completed a rigorous training in General Surgery. She specifically pursued a research year in Vascular Surgery at the University of Rochester during this time under the auspices of Dr. Michael Stoner as her passion of improving vascular disease was solidified. She then completed her 2-year Fellowship training in Vascular Surgery at the University of Kentucky where she was exposed to the forefront of open and endovascular surgical techniques and trained with some of the pioneers in the field. With a focus on compassionate care, Dr. Frye brings her love and knowledge as a Vascular Surgeon into life at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic.

Outside of work she loves to spend time taking fitness classes when she can and keeping up with her two children. She is married to an attorney, and her parents and brother also live in Nashville.
