2020 Crystal Scholarship

The Crystal Scholarship was created in 2019 by the MMC Comprehensive Breast Center to assist the children of MMC breast cancer patients in continuing their education beyond high school.

This year, the scholarship was awarded to six 2020 high school seniors, a number that has grown from the two scholarships that were given in 2019.

We know that a mother who is diagnosed with a life-threatening condition like breast cancer immediately considers her children’s futures. “This new scholarship is our way of showing our patients that we care about not only them, but those people who are dearest to them,” said Dr. Lisa White, a provider at MMC’s Comprehensive Breast Center.
