These are deposits of calcium in one or both breasts.  Theyre not caused by calcium in food or supplements.  Most are benign, but certain patterns of microcalcifications may be a sign of breast cancer.  Macrocalcifications are large deposits of calcium and usually are present due to benign problems such as fibroadenoma or adenosis.
