The health care needs of women are complex, and the broad array of highly technical diagnostic and treatment systems we now use to meet the needs of our patients, make our role as physicians even more rewarding. However, one essential element of providing care has not changed in recent years...understanding. Our group is as committed to listening and understanding your unique needs as we are to maintaining our leadership role in advanced treatment methods.

Staying abreast of advanced treatment methods is one way of ensuring quality of care. All of our physicians are required to be board certified, or eligible for board certification upon completion of residency, by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Being board certified means that each of our physicians has passed rigorous national written and oral examinations. It also means that our physicians must complete minimum levels of continuing education each year to retain board certification.

Routine prescriptions will be refilled during regular office hours only. Please have your pharmacy phone number available before calling. Refill prescriptions will not be called in after regular business hours.

As "managers" of your total health, we often consult with other physicians to ensure the best possible care for you and your baby. In fact, your baby will benefit from access to Middle Tennessee's largest Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine group which is located in the Clinic. These pediatricians may be asked to monitor your baby's health before birth. After your baby is born, parents often find it convenient for mother and baby to have their physicians in one location.

Your health care may also require the input of additional specialists. When specialized care is needed, we often consult the Clinic urologists, internists, gastroenterologists, and surgeons to meet our patients needs.

Many procedures that once required hospital care can now be performed on an outpatient basis in the Clinic's SurgiCenter. The SurgiCenter is a state licensed outpatient surgery center that offers our patients convenient, confidential care in a safe and comfortable environment.

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic's SurgiCenter is specially equipped to provide advanced outpatient gynecological diagnostics and surgery. Care ranges from highly innovative laser and laparoscopic surgery to diagnostic infertility evaluations and the evaluation and treatment of endometriosis. Highly sensitive areas such as miscarriages, tubal ligations, treatment of cervical disease, and sterilization procedures can be performed in the SurgiCenter to enhance the comfort of our patients.
